The science and impact of happiness and happiness at work

Tal Ben Shahar lives by a well-defined purpose — and acts upon it every single day. His mantra and ultimate goal in life, ‘Bringing happiness to life’, applies to individuals and groups as well as organisations. He does this by translating the rigorous research conducted in universities into accessible material that most people can apply in their personal and professional lives. With the focus on enhancing wellbeing, his approach is interdisciplinary, drawing on psychology, organizational behavior, education, and philosophy. His approach connects mind and heart, which is why he often uses the catchphrase ‘Feel The Science’.

Ben Shahar graduated from Harvard with a BA in Philosophy and Psychology and a PhD in Organisational Behaviour. With those degrees in the pocket, he went on to go and teach two of the most popular courses in Harvard’s history: Positive Psychology and The Psychology of Leadership.
Nowadays, he consults and gives lectures all around the world, to all kinds of people: from executives in multinational corporations to the general public — and all inbetween. Topics include, but are not limited to, leadership, ethics, happiness, self-esteem, resilience, goal setting and mindfulness.
And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also a bestselling author, serial entrepreneur, avid sportsman and co-founder and chief learning officer of the Happiness Studies Academy, Potentialife, Maytiv and Happier.TV.
